This Resin Skull Trio gives ancient wisdom a gothic twist. 

Each piece is hand‑poured so every trio has its own colours, textures, and personality. As a result, no two creations ever look the same.

Design and Craft
The ornament stands at approximately 7 inches tall, making it bold enough to display yet easy to place on shelves, desks, or altars.

I craft each one individually, choosing a unique colour palette and finish for every pour. 

These pieces are decorative art, not toys, and they suit collectors who enjoy mystical or macabre themes.

Origins and Meaning
The trio draws inspiration from the Three Wise Monkeys of Japanese folklore.
• Mizaru covers his eyes to “see no evil.”
• Kikazaru covers his ears to “hear no evil.”
• Iwazaru covers his mouth to “speak no evil.”
These names play on the Japanese verb ending zaru, which forms a negative. Together, they encourage mindful living and moral discipline. Over time, the message spread into Buddhist teachings, where it promotes purity of thought, speech, and action. Because of this, the trio often symbolises awareness, restraint, and inner clarity.
In Western culture, the phrase sometimes carries a different tone. It can suggest turning away from wrongdoing or ignoring injustice. This shift adds another layer of meaning, giving the trio both spiritual depth and cultural complexity.
